오래전부터 하자와 네트워크를 맺고있는, 일본 도쿄슈레대학에서 주최하는 영상이벤트에 영상팀 캐치스코프가 참가하게되었습니다. 이미 2006년 11월에 IAFE(International Alternative Film Event)를 통해 하자(당시 토요영상학교팀이 갔었고 저와 글쎄,뿡,콩,하토,히옥스가 참가했습니다.)와 싱가폴 아시안채널, 도쿄슈레대학, 모스코 필름스쿨, 이스라엘 하데라 스쿨이 만나 공동작업을 통해 도쿄박물관에서 상영회를 열었습니다. 이 이벤트를 시작으로, 도쿄슈레대학은 지속적인 이벤트를 개최, 공동작업을 추진하고 있었고 올해 6월말 도쿄슈레대학 대표이신 아사쿠라상이 하자센터에 방문하셔서 예전 haja VR이(20+영상팀, 유리/글쎄/네로/타락) 만든 "ghost girls"와 "KTX 다큐멘터리-300km가 들려준 침묵과 함성" 두 편 영상의 상영초청을 하셨습니다. 이번 Shure University Film Festival을 통해 이 두편을 영상을 상영하고, GV(감독과의 대화)를 참가하기 위해 캐치스코프가(허브/토토/유란/뿡/한결) 가게되었습니다.  캐치스코프 본인들이 제작하지는 않았지만, 이전 하자에서 만들어진 영상작품을 공부하고 자신들의 맥락에서 발표하는 준비를 하였습니다. 이벤트 기간은 8월 29일-31일까지 진행되며, 캐치스코프는 8월 28일-9월1일까지 머물다 옵니다. 캐치스코프 5명끼리 처음으로 떠나는 여행이라 준비도 아직 많이 미흡하고, 몇 번의 사고와 실수(여권과 티켓팅은 항상 실수를 하게되네요. 음...)가 있었지만 시니어 준비를 하고 있는 뿡도 있고, 아사쿠라상을 비롯한 도쿄슈레의 많은 친구들이 있으니 잘 다녀올거라 생각합니다.(머무는 기간동안, 하자의 일본 특파원인 예린도 만날 예정입니다.) 아무쪼록 건강히 잘 돌아와서 즐겁고 의미있는 경험들을 함께 나누길 기대해봅니다.

Purpose

We feel some difficulties of livings every day.
It is not easy to know why we feel difficult to live and who we are.
But, we want to break such difficult days.
We want to be free through film expressions.
There are people who eager to live as they want through making films in the world.
We want to meet such film makers and the people who are fascinated by the theme.
